The type of personal information we collect 

We currently collect and process the following information:

  • Personal identifiers and contacts, including your name, email address and telephone number when you book a course or request an estimate via the online form.

  • We also collect cookie identifiers and website user stats.

    • Cookies are small files saved to your computer’s hard drive that track, save and store information about your use of a website. This allows the website, through its server, to provide you with a tailored experience.

    • This website uses tracking software to monitor its visitors to better understand how they use it. This software is provided by Google Analytics which uses cookies to track visitor usage. The software will save a cookie to your computer’s hard drive in order to track and monitor your engagement and usage of the website, but will not store, save or collect personal information.     • If you wish to deny the use and saving of cookies onto your computer, use your web browser’s security settings to block all cookies from this website and its external serving vendors.

  • We do not store nor personally deal with card details via this website.

How we get the personal information and why we have it

 

Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you when you sign up for a course make an enquiry for one of the following reasons:

  • To enable us to contact you about attending a course and for you to proceed through the booking process.

  • To enable us to contact you about an estimate that you have requested for upholstery or restoration work.

  • We may also use contact details to assist with customer services as required. 


We also receive personal information indirectly, from the following sources in the following scenarios:

  • Third party booking agent websites CraftCourses.com and ClassBento.co.uk

We use the information that you have given us in order to: 

  • Contact you about attending a course you have booked through a third party website and/or to provide course information to you.

  • We do not share this information with a third party.


Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are: 

(a) We have a contractual obligation.

(b) We have a legitimate interest.

How we store your personal information 

Your information is securely stored. 

We keep your contact details and information submitted at the time of booking until it is no longer required or has no use, as detailed in the Data Protection Act 2018. We will then dispose your information by deleting the information held on our booking system and within our email account.

 

Do You Share My Personal Data?

**We will never sell your data.**

We will not share any of your personal data with any third parties for any purposes. Subject to the following exception.

We may contract with the following third parties for hosting and data storage purposes:

  • Google

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
